Whenfaced with the decision of what some of thequalities of a goodparent are, each person has his own opinion.From my point of view,I consider that consideration,encouragement, communication, andcare are the qualities of a goodparent. There are numerous reasonswhy I hold the above opinion,and I would explore only a few of theimportant ones here.Theprimary reason why I persist in the aboveopinion is that thesequalities help parents and children tounderstand each other. Forexample, consideration is a key to goodrelationships betweenparents and their children. When parents standat childrens pointof view, it is easier for them to understand whychildren isbehaving like that, and what they are thinking. This iswill giveparents a full understanding, and they will be able tofind asuitable method to teach his children what to do correctlyand howto do on such a thing. By such consideration andcommunication,children, of course, can accept their parentsadvice. Meanwhilethey can eliminate the so-called generation gap,and therelationship between parents and their children is gettingalongvery well.Another factor which should deserve some words isthatthese qualities can promote children to make progress.Forinstance, encouragement is an effective way for a parent toteachhis children. When a child fails to do something, because ofhislimited knowledge and experience, if his parent can encouragethechild to do it again and help the child analyze the reason whywhathe has done is wrong. Then the child can learn more knowledgeandwill try it again, and he will succeed in doing such athingfinally.What is more, these qualities help children growuphealthily. When parents take care of their children, childrencanfeel family’s care and can stay at home very happy. This isveryuseful for children to grow up healthily. With these, childrencanform excellent character and be confident in doing things.Inaword, to be a good parent is not an easy thing, but withparents’effort, each parent can do it very well. From what I havestatedabove, you may agree with my statement thatconsideration,encouragement, communication and care are thequalities of a goodparent.Topic: 179I am fortunate to have goodparents so it is easyfor me to identify the qualities that makethem good. Thesequalities are unconditional love, trust, andrespect for me and mybrothers and sisters.All mothers and fatherslove their children.They nurture them and keep them from harm. Butnot all love isunconditional. Some parents would not love theirchildren if theymarried someone of a different religion or from adifferent ethnicgroup. Some parents would not love their childrenif they were of adifferent sexual orientation. My parents would. Myparents-wouldlove us regardless of whom we married or whom we choseto love.Partof unconditional love is trust. My parents trust us todo what iscenter. They know we would never do anything to hurt themor todisgrace them. They trust us so we trust them. We areconfidentthat they would never do anything to hurt us.Because ourparentslove us, they also respect us. They treat us as individuals.Theyaccept our differences. They do not expect us to be like them.Theywant us to be our own persons. They want us to make our own wayinthe world, not follow in their footsteps.Without their love,Iwould not be as confident as I am. Without their trust, I wouldnotbe free to do what I want. Without their respect, I would notfeelcomfortable being on my own. All children should havesuchwonderful parents.
